Lemon slush

For those who are regulars to make slush ice cream, we are going to propose a recipe that’s surely going to do more than once. Definitely a homemade lemon granita has nothing to do with selling ice cream shops and cafes in and we can play with the acidity level and second because it is easy and fun to make granita at home.


  • 3 lemons
  • 200 grams of sugar
  • 750 ml water


Grate the lemons, but only because the soft yellow so bitter. After the squeeze and mix the juice and zest with the sugar. We boil the mixture for about 7 minutes over medium-high heat until it has reduced by almost half. And mix it with cold water in a tupperware.

We put it in the freezer and when we take it out and stir well. We return to freeze time and repeat stirring well again when we return to do the same and we will have prepared the granita.
